Marijuana Seeds for Greenhouse Growing

Greenhouse Marijuana Growing

Greenhouse cultivation is a perfect combination of growing indoors and outdoors. No expensive HPS lamps and electricity costs, only natural sunlight which gives the buds unmatched natural taste. Greenhouse provides an environment that is warmer and drier than outdoors, so your cannabis plants can be started earlier and flowered longer with less chance of an early frost killing the flowers. Flowering will still start at the same time as it would have done outdoors. Plants will grow more rapidly under glass and the buds will suffer no wind or rain damage.

Unless your greenhouse marijuana seeds strain of choice is known to grow short and bushy plants, don't start too early or the plants will be pushing the roof off by September. Decent sized plants can be grown from a June sowing. Large plants will transpire large amounts of water when the weather is warm and sunny, so be sure to water regularly. Be careful not to over water; let the top few inches of compost dry out before watering again. Use rainwater collected from the greenhouse guttering where possible. If you spend weekends away, it may be wise to invest in an automatic watering system. Ventilate the greenhouse in hot weather to keep the temperature and humidity down; high humidity can promote the growth of fungal infections. Buy an automatic roof vent opener. Do not start growing your seeds too early as you want to give your cannabis plants at most 1 one a half month of vegetative period, before the days will start getting shorter and cannabis will start flowering.

In open ground, the wind thickens the plant's stem by bending it back and forth. In the greenhouse the plants may grow less substantial stems so tie the main stem to a cane with garden twine to stop it falling over. Or better buy an office fan and produce wind for the sake of healthier and stronger stems. Plant in separate big pots, this way you will be able to remove or move plants separately if needed.

Outdoor marijuana seeds strains will grow perfectly in a greenhouse as well as specialized greenhouse strains, check out a few strains that have been successfully grown with potent and big yields using a greenhouse. Go for indicas or hybrids unless your greenhouse is 2m high. Read high and stone descriptions to get seeds that will provide desired effects :-)
